Supporting The Importance of Play

“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning.” – Mr. Rogers

We cannot imagine a world without play. It is so truly important to the development of children. Social skills, problem-solving, physical development, and an understanding of the world around them are just the beginning when children are given the opportunity to PLAY. 

KABOOM! Is a wonderful organization that is working to achieve playspace equity for all children. Their goal is to achieve an America where every kid can get the play they need to thrive, regardless of race, zip code, or family income on playspaces that are high quality and built upon the desires of the community.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, they have come to realize their mission is more urgent than ever before. Not only do they want to ensure that once it is safe to open playgrounds everyone has an opportunity in a safe and equitable space, but they are also taking play to kids that might not otherwise have the opportunity through collaborating with school districts and community partners to provide kids and families with “At-Home playground Design Kits”.

We at Bunnies By The Bay invite you to join us in our support of KABOOM! as we donate 20% of all proceeds to this worthy organization on select days in July.
