A Bunny Visit to the Big Apple
On a crisp October day in New York City, two of our very own bunnies visited Rockefeller Center to meet with our team at FAO Schwarz. If you have never been to visit this area of the city, it is truly something to behold. NBC Studios is located in the same building as the FAO Flagship store and it is not uncommon to see late-night hosts or SNL actors and writers around the building and plaza. It’s a truly unique place in the city where you see tourists taking in the sights as well as some of the most well-recognized people in entertainment walking right by each other while going about their day.
While at Rockefeller center, Anne & Shelby got to meet with FAO team members and share their love for Bunnies By The Bay and the joy and Glad Dreams it brings to children and families around the world.
Cricket Island is a long journey from the Big Apple, so to get to meet and work with our long-distance bunny family is always a treat, especially in such a magical place as FAO Schwarz. Our team got to share their ideas on the best ways to give Glad Dreams through the upcoming holiday season and also exchanged stories of wonderful interactions with customers in our little pastel corner of the FAO store. To hear tales of families traveling from across oceans and taking home a treasured keepsake stuffed animal or other treasure from our store is heartwarming beyond measure. It’s moments like this that make us truly grateful for our community of bunnies both near and far. Before parting, they visited the famous clock tower, and posed with a few of the famous Toy Soldiers, wishing them Glad Dreams before hopping along their way.
Anne and Shelby then ventured around the city taking in the sights and sounds of all that New York has to offer and finding inspiration all around them. It is an absolute delight to venture off of Cricket Island with a fellow Bunny and this was no exception – a truly magical day in one of the greatest cities in the world! The inspiration from this day will carry throughout the holidays & many months to come.
